Your website is intrinsically linked to you as part of your life or business and is an extension of both. It is important that you spend some time getting to know the basics of building a website, and Website Creator will definitely help you with that. Website Creator will help you take those first steps to overcome any beginner’s fears, and you will find that our step-by-step guides will help you to achieve your goal before you know it! If you are determined to take control of your own website then there is no time like the present to start!

The fifth issue of the definitive guide to Microsoft Windows. In each issue, we take apart the current operating system, and guide you - in a simple step-by-step fashion - through the essentials of making the most out of it. In this issue, we’ve dropped the ‘Vista’ part of our title - we are now just Essential Windows magazine - but our focus remains the same. Helping you to make the most out of windows, with friendly step-by-step guides; informative features and practical hints and tips. We’ve added a large reviews section in comparison to other issues; combining commercial and free sources of software as well as hardware.Of course we’ve not forgotten what we’re about. We have a 20 page section dedicated to Windows 7; providing practical advice for those looking to get their hands on the next generation operating system; elsewhere we take you in detail through the process of installing Windows Vista Service Pack 2 as well as security issues. We’ve got a selection of projects located towards the rear of the issue, to take you through complicated subjects in an easy to understand way. Richard Hallas shows some of the considerations when buying a digital camera; whereas John Taylor shows how to create a website in 14 simple steps. We’ve adopted a slightly different style; reflecting perhaps the forthcoming impact of Windows 7 - it’s much the same as Windows Vista; but it has been designed for improved performance on your computer hardware.

Sample On Line Book

Website creator issue 2 When it comes to developing your own website, there are a number of ways to approach the subject. You can either go for a ground-up route and develop your own look and feel from scratch (which itself is very time consuming and can complicate the final production, but can be very rewarding) or use an online template-based solution to remove an aspect of the work.
In this issue of Essential Website Creator, we will show you how to create websites in a matter of clicks and also offer some guidance for more expert web masters.
Our Free disc has three full programs and a great collection of utilities to accompany your web building, and we think you've got everything you need. (Sorry Sold Out)

Website Creator Issue 3

Much like the way in which PCs have evolved over the last twenty years, so has the worldwide web and hence the things you can do with it. Gone are the days when you were limited to having mainly text-based sites; it is now practical and reasonable to expect that people will have access to a fast Internet connection and hence be able to use video, graphics and streaming audio at a reasonable speed.
Despite this, some designers seem to forget the origins of web design; something which simply does not make sense - if you forget the origins of web design, you lose many advantages. A simple text-based website, for instance, will be easy to optimise for the benefit of search engines; whereas a website that is Flash based in its entirety has no text basis upon which to perform optimisation.
That said, the techniques you make use of for design should always consider what your intended final product will be. Adobe is aiming to stay at the forefront of such design evolution - on page 12 of this issue we have taken a look at some preview versions of new Creative Suite 4 applications; Furthermore, they suitable impress us.
On page 28 we introduce you to FreeSpace, an online site builder that offers much for the design beginner and professional. You can start by using the template-based system provided, then evolve to uploading your own web site design.
A good starting point is, of course, the next page. We hope you enjoy the issue.

Website Creator Issue 4
There’s no such thing as a free ride. In this day and age it’s never been more important to have a way of earning your keep: whether in your day job or in something you may do for enjoyment. But would things not be better if you could earn from your hobby? This issue of Essential Website Creator has taken to eCommerce in a very real way: we’ve got practical tutorials showing how; with help from the likes of eBay and Amazon and tools such as Actinic; you can build a business online.
Of course the other major announcement of late has been the release of Adobe’s Creative Suite 4. We touched on two of the new tools in the last issue: in this issue we’ve got eight pages pulling apart the release version. We take a different approach to other web design magazines - within our feature we include a number of mini tutorials giving you a head-start for when you decide to upgrade.
Our reviews section includes a group test of mobile broadband devices; allowing you to make the most of your laptop and the Internet while on a train for example. This is an emerging technology and one we expect to be of considerable importance over the next few years - and it’s a good time to get started with many retailers offering free laptops when you subscribe.
We’ve got the usual mix of practical hints, tips and tricks over the pages that follow. If you do have any comments or questions, please feel free to email me and we’ll always do our best to answer or address them.  (Sorry Sold Out)

eBay Advisor Issue 1

Over the last couple of years, eBay has grown from a relatively small online
auction site into a community with its own form of cash, a telephone system and much more.
The concept was so simple. Provide a simple means for people to communicate across to globe with a view to selling their own products. In conjunction with that, the buying side of things needs to be easy to complete to ensure that any sale problems are minimal.
The result is an ever-evolving auction experience that adapts to the current trends and essentially grows with you.
If you want to sell something, the listing process takes very little to follow (even less with our detailed step-by-step guides); and with many categories available in which to sell it's straightforward enough to ensure your item is visible.
When you're looking to buy something, you can either browse through the site or enter a search to see if something matching that description is available.
Paying for an item is easy enough, whether by traditional means or through the PayPal site and if you have a query that needs answering you can do so either through the comment forms or via SkyPE.  (Sorry Sold Out)
